My Blogging Experience

This year I took up blogging for one of my classes at school. I had never blogged before this year and I really don't find it that exciting. I like to read some blog posts here and there but I don't really find it fun to create a blog. It is just too much commitment to something I don't see as a big part of my life.

School's Handbook

If I could change any rule in the handbook I would change the exam rule. I absolutely hate the exam rule. I don't want to do exams at all. The exams put my grades at risk every time the end of a semester rolls around. It makes me very nervous for those 2 days and annoys me.

If I could add a rule to the handbook it would be the allowance of technology like Ipods and Ipads. I think it would be nice because then you can listen to music when you aren't doing any work. Or you can play games and check your social media stuff.

Senior's Last Week

Well its the Senior's last week of school. After that they will be free from the torment of school. In a way I'm jealous of their fortune. I can't wait till my Senior year when I will be able to slack off in most of my classes. That is what is going to happen next year. So teachers beware!

Prom

Well I didn't go to this years prom because I was in Lima, Ohio hanging out with some friends. For my saturday I was in a barn with about 30 other kids and we played volleyball, foosball, ping pong, and talked. I had a fun time. Even though I didn't go to prom I don't feel like prom is lame. Prom can be fun if you have lots of friends and games.

Just Some Things

Well I'm just sitting in Exploring Tech class and I'm thinking about my weekend. My weekend consisted of watching some of the NFL draft, hanging out with Parker, Andrew, and Josh, and pizza. On Friday I went to a friend's house for pizza and stuff. We played some volleyball and sat around a camp fire. On Saturday I watched some of the NFL draft and argued about some of the picks that the pro teams made and then later I went to Josh Adam's house to hang out with him, Parker, and Andrew. Overall my weekend was pretty fun.

Facebook

As most people in the U.S. I have a facebook too. I don't use it very often, maybe a few times a week. I use my facebook account to find friends from other states and keep in touch with them.

Lots of people use facebook for various reasons but I think the main one is to keep in touch with others. It is very easy to share ,what you are doing, with your friends. You don't have to call them to tell what has happened to you lately and you can even use pictures to give your distant friends a visual.

Even though many people of all ages, races, ect. use facebook I believe not everyone should have one. Those that shouldn't have one are those of a very young age. People 12 and younger just don't have the awareness of what to post and what not to. They also have a hard time staying away from things that they shouldn't be doing and adding people as "friends" who aren't really a friend.

Like most things in this world there are positives and negatives. Facebook is no exception, some of the positives of facebook is the interaction with others, the ability to keep in touch with distant friends, and even gives a small business an effective advertising spot. Even with these positives there are also some bad negatives like stalkers who try to take valuable information from other people, bullies who use the internet to continue picking on others after school hours, and  some people get addicted to facebook which ruins their scheduling and other aspects of their life.

Nothing Better Than

There is nothing better than friends. Friends are great for hanging out with and talking to. They make life a little more exciting then just being by yourself. When you're by yourself and have nothing to do you can call you friends up and do something like go bowling, watch a movie, play a game, or just talk. Friends are essentail to having fun.

Spring Break

This year's Spring Break I did exactly what I wanted to do and that is doing nothing. Near the beginning of the break I stayed home and slept in, on Monday I invited a friend and my cousins over, through the middle of the break I stayed home and did nothing, then I went to Ann Arbor on Saturday for a friend's birthday party, and finally I went to church on Sunday. Even though my Spring Break doesn't sound all that exciting I really didn't want to do a lot. My picture below explains my break pretty well.

Mass Effect 3

Yesterday I fnished Mass Effect 3. I did not play any of the previous games in the series but I figured I would give this one a try. I thought it was a great game but the ending left my mind wondering about many things like what happened to the Turians, Krogans, and Quarrians? Or what about the the people on Earth? Even though these questions still linger and I wish they were answered I thought the game was great and so I made a collage of the game. Hope you all like it.

A New Holiday!

If I could make a holiday I would make "Wear a Top Hat Tuesday". On the second Tuesday of September everyone will wear a top hat throughout the day. The purpose of the holiday is to have everyone look nice at least one time every year.
Events during "Top Hat Tuesday" will be fancy dinners and dances. You will not be allowed into the events without a top hat. So it is a good idea to have a top hat before "Top Hat Tuesday"! The logo will look something like the picture below.

Who I wish I was

I would be Tom Brady because of his amazing football career at the pro level. He has played phenominally for the New England Patriots and also played for the Michigan Wolverines, my favorite team, in college football. He has went to the Super Bowl multiple times, been on the team that went 16-0, and has a couple of Super Bowl rings. He is seen as one of the greatest Quaterbacks of this era. That is why if I could be anyone I wanted to be it would be Tom Brady.

March Reading Month

This month is Reading Month and so I'm going to tell you about my childhood favorite book. I liked to read the Narnia series a lot and in fact I nearly finished all of them except for "The Silver Chair". My parents never read to me on a regular basis and since I'm the oldest sibling none of my siblings read to me.
Now I don't read a lot and in fact I don't like to read. I believe it is because it is much more fun playing games and watching movies then sitting down and reading. When I read the Narnia series I didn't have any gaming consuls and few movies that interested me. Books allowed my imagination to run wild but now games and movies do it more effectively then books. I don't think there is a way to get teenagers interested in books again because it is easier ,and less work, to hear a story through a game or movie then a book.

My Biggest Pet Peeve

For those of you who don't know, a Pet Peeve is a "major annoyance". My biggest one is homework. I absolutely hate homework. Homework ruins my schedule, my free time, and my fun. It is just terrible, there are times when I can't go to a friend's house because I have too much homework. So there you have it. My biggest Pet Peeve is homework and I'm sure many other people would agree.

Friends

When I search for friends I look for people who have similar traits or hobbies I have. It doesn't really matter too much if they are shy or talkative to me. If you're a good friend to them then they should open up to you no matter how shy they are. One may ask, " how many friends can someone have?" well I believe that there are certain levels of friendship like best friend and just a casual friend but you can have lots of friends from all over the world, just not a lot of best/close friends.
With the addition of Facebook people now have hundreds, if not thousands, of friends. I think that of all the "friends" you have on Facebook only a couple hundred, if not less, are truly friends.

Winter Homecoming

Last week was my school's Winter Homecoming. We dressed up each day to a different topic(ex. animal print day ect.) I dressed up for "Hat Day" and "Green and White Day". On Friday we had our pep assembly and the mini floats were presented. The mini floats were pretty cool, one was Mario Cart, another Donkey Kong, and Pac Man was another one. The Pac Man one was the funniest because Tyler dressed up as a purple ghost and had Pac Man follow him. I was not present when they named Homecoming King so I really don't know who it was nor do I really care. Overall the week was fun.

Valentine's Day

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day which leaves us the question. Do the candy and card industy blow Valentine's Day out of proportion? I would have to say yes, I don't really consider Valentine's Day a holiday because it just isn't as important or talked about as other holidays. I mean most guys don't even know when Valentine's Day is. In my opinion, this is just a day that industries, such as candy and cards, want to make a ton of money on so they are all into Valentine's Day. I did celebrate Valentine's Day a little in my elementary years but that was just so I could get some candy. Some may say I'm just a "hater" but in reality every day should be Valentine's Day to the person(s) you love. Not just one day.

The Super Bowl

Yesterday the Giants beat the Patriots by 4 in the Super Bowl. It was a good game though I did miss the 4th quarter because I was on the road. I had the Patriots winning and when I left the Patriots were winning. I'm not really all that upset because I don't like the NFL all that much.

Photography

I don't take hardly any pictures at all. The most I do is just take a picture for others or take a couple photos of vacation. I assume that this unit is going to have a lot of picture taking and editing of pictures. Below is what I think of as good photography.

My First Highschool Exams

Last week was the first time I have ever taken exams in highschool. It was a little stressfull because I didn't know what to expect. After the exams I felt good about them and, to be honest, I thought some were pretty easy. I did study a little for my Physics and Pre Calculus classes, about a hour each. Even though I don't want to take exams I think we should so we can be prepared for college and at least know what exams should feel like. I wouldn't want to take exams for the first time in college because I might get way to nervous and fail the exam. Overall my first exam experience went well and I kept my grades where I wanted them.

LSU vs Bama

Tonight is the culmination of all of college football. The National Championship is tonight and by 11 tonight we will know who is number 1 for this year. I have LSU winning the game as they beat Bama earlier this year and LSU has played a way tougher schedule. My score prediction is LSU 14 and Bama 10. It will be close and low scoring because both have good defenses and bad offenses. None the less it should be fun to watch tonight.

My Christmas Break

The first two days were my only relaxed days of the whole break. On Christmas Eve and Christmas day I went to my Grandparent's house to celebrate. Most of my family was there so it was a great time. The next day I was preparing to go to a camp in Grasslake with some friends. I was at the camp for most of that week. While I was there I played volleyball and other various activities. After camp I watched football on the weekend and went to church. That is, in summary, how my Christmas Break went.
